Sunday Drive

I take the long way home just so I can drive past a pretty view. I stay in the car if there is a good song on the radio. I don’t worry if I miss a light or if someone cuts me off – I find taking my foot off the gas to be the solution to most issues on the road – and in life.

“She’s a Sunday Dri-ver”

My husband sings this to me when he thinks I’m driving too slowly. He says it with such an ironic drawl, he might as well have overalls and a piece of straw hanging out of his mouth.
